It was a wild ride.............................

We went, we won, we returned home (took no names). What a time we had. We set up camp, got the horses settled in and started the 20 day long hurry up and wait game. Time really flies by when your at the shows and this show was no different. We were busy every day. Will Rogers coliseum in Fort Worth is like a little town in a big city. People are there 24/7. It never shuts down. Trainers are always riding no matter what time it is. It is such a cool place to be and is fun to be a part of. For the trainers it's like a trainer reunion. Some of these people I only see at the World Show. It's fun seeing everyone.

We had an amazing show. Karen Borrego and Reflection In Moonlight was a big star in Novice Amateur Trail with 48 entries. Karen went thru the trail course better than the pros with no faults. She won the Reserve World Champion title. We were jumping with joy. Karen went in her Hunter Under Saddle class and made it thru the preliminaries, on to the semi finals and than the finals were she won 4th overall in Novice Amateur Hunter Under Saddle. Congratulations to Karen and Reflection In Moonlight.

Charismatic Reflection (owned by Gene Gage and Carol Coleman) had a great outing as well. We were Reserve World Champion in the 3 year old Hunter Under Saddle Challenge and finish 9th overall in Junior Hunter Under Saddle. Thank you to Jerry Erickson for a great job showing this very talented young stallion.

My farm is in Florida and when we go to the World Show we are always rooting for the Florida people and Florida made history this year at the show. We were competitive in all the events and brought home a lot of World titles in different events. We must be doing something right.

We left the show feeling very successful only to have to deal with Dennis(the hurricane). I managed to meet up with Michele Tucker on the way home and we skirted in between the bands of rain in Alabama and once we hit I75 I felt like we were home free. The trip was alittle nerve raking but made it thru with no problems. Got home and I slpet for 20 hours. I didn't realize I was that tired.

I will be posting pictures ASAP.

Congratulations to all. It was fun.
